CENTRAL APPALACHIAN

Kentucky River Properties LLC’s Central Appalachian Operations span over 300,000 acres in Eastern Kentucky, offering a rich legacy of coal reserves dating back to 1915. We serve as a landholding company, leasing properties to coal, oil & gas, solar, and timber companies, as well as for private business, farming, and residential.

ILLINOIS BASIN

Expanding into the Illinois Coal Basin, KRP added over 95,000 acres of mineral-rich land in Western Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana. This diversification brought over 400 million tons of recoverable coal to our portfolio, ensuring a dynamic future in the industry.
